FACE’s calendar brings practitioners, researchers, third‑sector colleagues and policymakers together to share evidence and drive change. Below is an overview of the core opportunities members can take part in throughout the year. (Dates and details are always kept up‑to‑date on our Events page.)
A three‑day summer gathering rotating between host universities. Delegates hear from sector‑leading keynotes, present research and help shape the following year’s policy recommendations and good‑practice publication.

A member‑only strategic forum held once a year to gather sector insights, review progress against our strategic plan and co‑create FACE’s priorities for the year ahead. Facilitated workshops ensure every member voice can influence policy positions, research themes and the network’s future direction.
Short, practitioner‑led online sessions spotlighting ‘what works’. Each disseminar focuses on an emerging theme—recent examples include student partnership models and evaluating peer mentoring. Sessions finish with open Q&A and shared resources so you can apply insights immediately.
Our SIGs convene members working on common challenges—evaluation & impact, access & participation planning, student voice, lifelong learning and more. Meetings are informal, collaborative spaces to swap ideas, plan joint projects and build cross‑institutional relationships.
Through collaborations with EUCEN, Eurydice and Include, FACE members receive invitations to join webinars and virtual roundtables across Europe, expanding our collective knowledge base and networks.
FACE actively encourages members to run their own seminars, panel discussions or local networking meet‑ups under the FACE banner. We provide promotional support and help connect speakers to audiences.
